“A Xira Galega de Balonmán Praia” levará o balonmán ás praias de Bueu e Moaña a través de 5 torneos e unha Fase Final:
- I Torneo Mancomunidade Concellos do Morrazo Concello de Bueu (4 pistas). Do 29 de xuño ao 2 de xullo; participarán todas as categorías agás as xuvenís.
- II Torneo Mancomunidade Concellos do Morrazo Concello de Bueu (2 pistas). Do 6 ao 9 de xullo; participarán todas as categorías agás as cadetes.
- II Torneo Mancomunidade Concellos do Morrazo Concello de Moaña (2 pistas). Do 6 ao 9 de xullo; participarán todas as categorías agás as cadetes.
- III Torneo Mancomunidade Concellos do Morrazo Concello de Moaña (4 pistas). Do 13 ao 16 de xullo; participarán todas as categorías agás as infantís.
- IV Torneo Mancomunidade Concellos do Morrazo Concello de Moaña (4 pistas). Do 20 ao 23 de xullo; participarán todas as categorías agás as sénior.
A Xira Galega dará comezo o 29 de xuño na praia Banda do Río (Bueu) e se trasladará posteriormente á praia da Xunqueira (Moaña) ata o 25 de xullo, día no que os catro primeiros clasificados de cada categoría disputarán a Fase Final.
A gran demanda de participación, unida á dificultade loxística e ás limitacións de ocupación máxima dos areais provoca que cada torneo se celebre de xoves a domingo, que abarque un máximo de 7 categorías e un número limitado de equipos por cada unha delas:
- Alevín Mixta: 16 equipos
- Infantil Masculina: 14 equipos
- Infantil Feminina: 14 equipos
- Cadete Masculina: 12 equipos
- Cadete Feminina: 12 equipos
- Xuvenil Masculina: 8 equipos
- Xuvenil Feminina: 8 equipos
- Sénior Masculina: 12 equipos
- Sénior Feminina: 8 equipos
* (O número máximo de equipos por torneo é froito da estimación realizada a través da preinscrición executada polos clubs interesados en participar na Xira Galega de Balonmán Praia; estes números poderán variar no caso de que haxa vacantes nalgunha das categorías).
Todos os clubs ou equipos interesados en participar na Xira Galega de Balonmán Praia deberán anotarse a través da páxina web da Federación Galega de Balonmán (Plataforma Misquad) entre as 00:00 horas de hoxe e ata o venres 23 ás 23.59 horas.
Esta iniciativa pretende que o balonmán praia esté presente durante o mes de xullo en forma de competición federada, pero que tamén dé a posibilidade de que calqueira persoa poida practicalo fóra dos horarios de competición; para iso, o estadio que montará a Federación Galega de Balonmán estará a disposición dos clubs para a celebración de adestramentos, campus, actividades de promoción, etc…; mais aló do que a propia federación vaia a organizar.
Dende o departamento de Balonmán Praia da Federación Galega de Balonmán chegouse a un acordo coa Federación de Andebol de Porto, para que os equipos galegos poidan por o colfón á tempada estival do 28 ao 30 de xullo acudindo de xeito gratuíto ao seu torneo.
