Esta semana teremos o segundo asalto da Copa do Rei, con Acanor Novás, Cisne Colegio Los Sauces e Frigoríficos do Morrazo como protagonistas galegos. Os dous equipos de División de Honra Prata xogarán o martes 15 en casa, mentres que o BM Cangas disputará a eliminatoria fóra o mércores.
O Acanor Novás recibe mañá 15 de outubro (21:00 horas) ao Balonmán Nava, de Asobal. O conxunto galego chega reforzado tralos últimos partidos en casa, nos que deu unha boa imaxe, e o empate acadado esta fin de semana fóra tras unha impresionante remontada nos instantes finais.
O preparador do Acanor, Quique Domínguez, explica que «a nosa intención na Copa é tratar de chegar todo o lonxe que poidamos e nos deixen os nosos rivais. Foi o que fixemos na primeira eliminatoria contra o Torrelavega e agora queremos repetir contra o Nava. Sabemos que é un rival, sobre o papel, superior a nós, de superior categoría, e que ademais está a render moi ben en Asobal, pero nos imos tratar de competir ao mellor nivel, poñerllo todo o difícil que poidamos». O que parece claro é que «temos moitísima ilusión en pasar á siguiente rolda, poder avanzar en Copa. É unha competición que nos fai moita ilusión e nos gustaría chegar lonxe».
A mesma hora disputarase o Cisne Colegio Los Sauces – Puente Genil no Pavillón do Centro Galego de Tecnificación Deportiva. Tamén falamos co adestrador do conxunto pontevedrés, Javier Fernández `Jabato´, sobre a eliminatoria. «Tocounos o Puente Genil, un equipo de Asobal. É unha eliminatoria moi complicada porque eles teñen superioridade en canto a experiencia, xogadores, física… Para nos é muy difícil, pero imos intentar que sexa unha festa». Jabato recorda que a prioridade é a Liga, onde actualmente son líderes con pleno de vitorias, pero tentará atopar o punto de equilibrio: «Temos esa motivación da Copa, pero sen perder o foco prioritario. Hai que aproveitar para ir metendo a xente da canteira. Temos que consolidar o proxecto e iso pasa por darlle minutos aos que normalmente nos os teñen, para que se vaian rodando».
O mércores 16 de outubro (20:30 horas) xogará o Frigoríficos do Morrazo. Pero a súa eliminatoria será como visitante e nun momento non excesivamente bo para o conxunto galego, segundo nos contou o seu adestrador, Nacho Moyano: «É un desprazamento moi longo, primeiro ata Barcelona e despois máis de unha hora en furgonetas ata Sarriá, e ademais nos pilla nunha semana complicada, entre o Nava e o Sinfín, dous rivais directos». Como todos, Moyano ten claro que o obxectivo prioritario é a Liga, pero non quere descartar a Copa: «É un partido máis para tentar competir e seguir mellorando e axustando cousas. Afrontámolo con ilusión, pero tendo en conta que a competición da Liga é a máis importante e na que nos xogamos as castañas». Sobre o Sarria sinalou que «é un rival recén ascendido, con xente da casa de bastante nivel, que levan moito tempo xogando xuntos. En casa multiplican por dous as súas prestacións, nun pavillón pequeno que seguro van encher».
