Do 27 ao 30 de Xullo a celebrase en Oporto o «Porto – Galiza International Open ´23» de Balonmán Praia.
A Federación Galega de Balonmán, froito das boas relacións coa federación portuguesa, asinou un convenio para que os equipos galegos de balonmán praia poidan participar de xeito gratuíto no torneo que se celebrará na cidade portuguesa de Oporto.
A intención deste acordo é establecer os cimentos de cara a actividades futuras que poidan axudar a que a disciplina do balonmán praia siga a medrar, ademais de dar a posibilidade de que os equipos galegos que non se puideron anotar no Campionato de España teñan a oportunidade de poñer o colofón á tempada nun contexto diferente ao habitual.
As federacións presididas por Paulo Martins e Bruno López veñen de colaborar en torneos amigables para a preparación de seleccións, intercambios arbitrais, e agora están a profundizar no balonmán praia e na formación de técnicos/as.
Bruno López comentou: «a sintonía coa Associação de Andebol do Porto é realmente boa, temos grandes ideas para levar a cabo en común e aumentar as posibilidades do balonmán galego e do norte de Portugal; o balonmán praia cada vez demanda mais actividade e esta é unha boa oportunidade para estudar posibilidades de futuro».
