O Acanor Atlético Novás e o Club Cisne Colegio Los Sauces comezarán a tempada cun derbi cargado de emoción.
Este sábado saltan a pista os equipos da División de Honra Prata Feminina e Masculina, con catro representantes galegos na categoría feminina e tres na masculina. E o sorteo obsequiounos na primeira xornada cun interesante derbi galego.

O Acanor Atlético Novás recibe mañá sábado 14 de setembro (18:00 horas) ao Cisne Colegio Los Sauces no Pavillón Municipal do Rosal.
Quique Domínguez, adestrador do Acanor, destacou as ganas que teñen de comezar a competición: «Despois dunha larga pretempada, despois de moito traballo, moitas sesións de adestramento e un gran esforzo por parte de todos… chega por fin a Liga. Temos moitas ganas de disputar o primeiro partido que, ademáis, é especial, como o son sempre os partidos de rivalidade. Vai ser un choque moi bonito para comezar a tempada, moi atractivo para a afección e estou seguro de que ambos equipos vamos a ofrecer un gran espectáculo, co ambientazo que tamén estou seguro que haberá no Rosal». Domínguez pensa que chegan en boas condicións de competir, a pesar de que «coñecemos o rival que temos diante, un equipo que se reforzou moi ben e que estou seguro que vai estar este ano pelexando por obxectivos importantes. Pero desde logo nós, con toda a humildade e o traballo que levamos detrás a estas alturas, imos ir polo partido. Que ninguén teña duda diso».
Manu Martínez, capitán do Acanor, manifestou que «é un partido dos que gusta xogar, e que tamén lle gusta ver ao afeccionado. A pesar de ser o primeiro partido, é un derbi, un partido especial, donde non hai favoritos. Pero xogamos na casa, diante da nosa xente e queremos confirmar as boas sensacións durante a pretempada».
Pola súa banda, o adestrador do Cisne, Jabato, asegurou que están desexando que «chegue o sábado. Deixamos atrás un mes e medio de adestramentos, de dura carga física e táctica… Fixemos o traballo que había que facer e queremos comezar con bo pé». Recoñece o preparador do conxunto pontevedrés que o Acanor «é un rival moi complicado, que se reforzou moi ben e que ten unha cancha moi difícil. Quizais preferiría ter o derbi un pouco máis avanzada a tempada, pero o calendario quixo que fose así. Esperamos ser competitivos alí e que nos levemos os puntos».
Sobre a Liga, o recentemente nomeado seleccionador nacional xuvenil masculino, destacou que «será unha Liga moi igualada e difícil. Todos os equipos reforzáronse moi ben, con xogadores de Asobal e con xente con moita experiencia na categoría, polo que cada vez é máis complicado. Esperamos estar á altura e que todo o traballo previo que fixemos na pretempada nos sirva para todo o que nos ven».

Máxima categoría
A fin de semana pasada, os equipos galegos que militan na máxima categoría do balonmán nacional comezaban a rodar o balón nos 40×20. En categoría feminina o Mecalia Atlético Guardés e o Conservas Orbe BM Porriño debutaban con vitoria ao igual que o Cangas Frigoríficos do Morrazo, único representante galego na liga Asobal.
