Coma consecuencia da situación xerada pola evolución epidemiolóxica do COVID-19, a Comisión Delegada da Federación Galega de Balonmán, reunida o venres 8 de maio de 2020 ás 20:00, tomou as seguintes decisións con respecto ás competicións da tempada 2019-2020:
- FINALIZACIÓN COMPETICIÓNS: A Comisión Delegada da Federación Galega de Balonmán, decidiu dar por finalizadas todas as competicións da tempada 19/20 sen efectos clasificatorios, outorgando á Federación Galega a opción de recoñecer tan só aos campións de liga matemáticos mediante calquera detalle conmemorativo.
- DESCENSOS: Non se materializará ningún descenso, xa que ningún equipo chegou a perder os seus dereitos deportivos na categoría actual de xeito oficial.
- ASCENSOS: A Comisión Delegada da Federación Galega de Balonmán, debido á excepcionalidade da situación por mor da pandemia do COVID19, e coa intención de valorar os méritos deportivos realizados polos equipos da 2ª Autonómica Masculina (única categoría que provoca dereitos deportivos dunha tempada a outra, dependentes da F.G.Bm.), decidiu poñer dúas prazas de ascenso directo ao alcance de todos os equipos que conservaban as opcións para este mérito o día 13 de marzo de 2020, data na que se suspendeu a competición. As opcións pasarán pola disputa dunha competición previa ao inicio da tempada 2020/21 entre os equipos involucrados: Asmubal Meaño, Bm. Reconquista, Bm Camariñas e Granitos Ibéricos Carballal. Como punto de partida para esta competición teranse en conta os méritos deportivos realizados na tempada 19/20, coa intención de que as posibilidades de acadar o ascenso por parte de cada equipo, sexan directamente proporcionais ás que posuían o 13 de marzo de 2020.
A 1ª Autonómica Masculina quedará con 14 equipos á espera das posibles invitacións para 1ª Nacional por parte da RFEBM. En caso de renuncias ou invitacións en 1ª Autonómica Masculina, a Federación Galega de Balonmán tan só emitirá invitacións aos equipos de 2ª Autonómica Masculina se coas dúas prazas de ascenso directo, a 1ª Autonómica tivera menos de 12 equipos.
4. A Comisión Delegada da Federación Galega de Balonmán decidiu cancelar a Xira Galega de Balonmán Praia 2020, podendo realizar calquera torneo de carácter amigable sempre e cando a evolución epidemiolóxica do COVID-19 e as condicións sanitarias e deportivas o permitan.
