O domingo 5 de marzo celebrarase a I Xornada de Minibalonmán alevín mixto Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, organizada pola Universidade de Santiago e a Federación Galega de Balonmán a través do Plan Corresponsables.
A xornada ten como obxectivo dar a coñecer o balonmán a nenos e nenas de entre 10 e 12 anos dunha forma lúdica, facéndoo ademais ao aire libre, co cal aumenta aínda máis a diversión das e dos pequenos deportistas.
A actividade desenvolverase na pista exterior multideporte e no campo de Hockei herba da USC (Campus Vida), onde se instalarán catro campos para a celebración do Torneo, no que participarán un total de 20 equipos de nenas e nenos nados nos anos 2011 e 2012. Os participantes puideron inscribirse tanto de xeito individual como colectivo (equipos cun mínimo de 5 compoñentes e un máximo de 8). Incluso no mesmo día da competición, será posible realizar a inscrición de deportistas de forma individual (ata completar todos os equipos). A competición comezará ás 11:00 horas e rematará ás 18:30 horas e á finalización do torneo procederase á entrega de trofeos para o 1º e 2º clasificado, así como medallas para todos e todas as participantes.
Ademais, durante a xornada teremos actividades de ocio para as e os máis pequenos, que poderán aproveitar o tempo libre entre partido e partido con outras ocupacións: Zumba familiar, concurso de habilidades, retos…
