Frigoríficos do Morrazo BM Cangas e Dicsa Modular Cisne ofrecerannos mañá sábado 12 de setembro (17:00 horas, TVG-2) un partido histórico, xa que será a primeira vez que ambos conxuntos coinciden na Liga Asobal. Será un derbi de moitas emocións nunha tempada atípica, cun Gatañal “reducido” en aforo e coa presenza de dous colexiados galegos: Rafa García e Alberto Rodríguez. Cen por cento galego!
A pesar de que este choque corresponde á cuarta xornada da Liga, en realidade será o segundo partido da presente tempada e tanto Cangas como Cisne perderon no seu primeiro partido. Pero non hai tempo a lamentarse, porque xa están de novo nas pistas buscando esa primeira vitoria.
E para saber como chegan ambos conxuntos falamos con Javi Díaz (BM Cangas) e Javi Vázquez (Cisne).
Javi Díaz destacou que nesta tempada atípica hai que ir vivindo o día a día. “Unha das cousas que nos dixo Nacho (Moyano) na pretempada era que había que gozar de cada adestramento, de cada amigable, de cada partido de Liga se é que chegabamos a eles. E iso é o que estamos a facer. Hoxe a gozar do adestramento e a ver se mañá podemos facer o mesmo co derbi”.

O meta cangués tira de galones para falar do choque de rivalidade. “O que me di a experiencia é que se hai diferenzas entre os equipos estas se minimizan. Espero que sexa unha festa do balonmán galego, aínda que polo tema do aforo será un pouquiño menos do normal, pero imos intentar gozalo”, afirmou. Ademais, xa saben o que é xogar nun Gatañal máis reducido: “So había 300 persoas pero se deixaron notar. Evidentemente non é o mesmo e quixéramos que estivese cheo, pero o Gatañal é especial. Estean 300 ou 3.000 a xente non para de animar ata o final, vaiamos gañando ou perdendo. Sabemos que estarán con nós, sexan os que sexan, así que imos intentar que poidan gozar do partido”.
Sobre o Cisne, asegurou que “se coñecen ao dedillo porque levan dende nenos xogando xuntos… Levan moitos anos coa mesma plantilla, con algún retoque e xogan moi ben. Este ano so incorporaron a Pombo. Saben ao que xogan e explótano ao douscentos por cen. Espero un Cisne cun bo balonmán, moi rápido e moi combativo”.
O Cisne chega ao Gatañal despois de xogar o mércores contra o Granollers, no se debut en Asobal. A pesar da derrota, o conxunto pontevedrés está satisfeito do traballo feito e xa so pensan no seguinte. Así nolo conta Javi Vázquez: “O equipo está moi ilusionado a pesar da derrota, porque as sensacións foron moi boas en Granollers. Estamos moi contentos de xogar o derbi, aínda que chega un pouco antes do que nos gustaría, porque igual as cousas melloran e poderíamos xogalo noutras condicións. Será o primeiro partido contra o Cangas en Asobal, contra un equipo galego que leva unha grandísima traxectoria na Asobal, e imos con todas as gañas do mundo de puntuar, porque é un dos partidos que, por ser derbi e por se un dos equipos que a priori vai estar na loita por manter a categoría, marcamos en vermello”.

A COVID-19 altera todo e Vázquez recoñece que viven na “incerteza total. No club temos unha serie de protocolos que seguimos durante todos os adestramentos, probas PCR, test serolóxicos… O certo é que eu non confiaba en que puidésemos comezar a liga tan pronto. É unha alegría poder gozar do balonmán que é o que nos une a todos no equipo, e saborear o premio do ascenso, que é competir na máxima categoría do balonmán español”.
No Cisne tamén lamentan que O Gatañal non poida estar abarrotado con xente de Cangas e de Pontevedra: “Vai quedar un pouco descafeinado. A ambas partes gustaríanos que O Gatañal estivese ata a bandeira con xente de Cangas e tamén de Pontevedra, para vivir un ambiente de festa do balonmán galego, e témome que non será así. Ogallá, na segunda volta, xa en Pontevedra, poidamos facelo doutra maneira”.
