El Campeonato de España de Selecciones Territoriales de balonmano playa, que se celebrará del 24 al 26 de junio en Sanxenxo arrancó ayer con la presentación celebrada en la playa de Silgar. En el acto participaron el presidente da Real Federación Española de Balonmano, Francisco Blázquez; el presidente da Federación Galega de Balonmán, Bruno López, el concejal de Deportes de Sanxenxo, Daniel Arosa; el diputado provincial de Deportes, Gorka Gómez y el jefe del servicio de Deportes de Pontevedra de la Xunta de Galicia, Daniel Benavides.
Y así, sobre la arena de la playa de Silgar, se celebró el acto de presentación del evento. El concejal de Sanxenxo, Daniel Arosa, recordó que Sanxenxo es el primer destino turístico del norte de España y “os invito a conocerlo y a vivirlo. Este fin de semana disfrutaréis ya de todo un emblema de Sanxenxo, la playa de Silgar. Uno de los arenales más fotografiados de la costa española y que recibe cada verano a cientos de miles de bañistas”. Además, destacó que Sanxenxo apuesta por el deporte y prueba de ello son los numerosos eventos deportivos que se celebran en este municipio.
El presidente de la Española, Francisco Blázquez destacó la capacidad organizativa de la Federación Gallega y manifestó su apuesta por el balonmano base: “Ahora mismo se está disputando el Mundial de balonmano playa en Grecia, pero yo estaré todo el fin de semana aquí, porque creo que es donde debo estar”. Mientras, el máximo responsable de la Federación Gallega, Bruno López, que agradeció el apoyo de las tres administraciones para que este CESA fuese posible, indicó que con este evento se cierra un ciclo, ya que a partir de mañana quedan convocadas las elecciones en la FGBm.
Por su parte, el diputado Gorka Gómez se refirió a la importancia del turismo deportivo, recordando el número de personas que estarán en Sanxenxo durante tres o cuatro días: Más de seis mil personas. Mientras, el jefe provincial de Deportes, Dani Benavides, se refirió a la implantacion del balonmano en Galicia, y de forma muy especial en la provincia de Pontevedra.
El CESA. El Campeonato de España de Selecciones Territoriales de balonmano playa de las categorías infantil, cadete y juvenil masculinas y femeninas se celebrará de viernes a domingo en la Playa del Silgar de Sanxenxo. Además, coincidiendo con este evento se disputará el Arena 1000 de Sanxenxo (categorías sénior), por lo que disfrutaremos del mejor balonmano playa español tanto en categorías base como absolutas. Los números del CESA demuestran la magnitud del evento. Contaremos con la presencia de 90 equipos, pertenecientes a 17 comunidades autónomas; se disputarán 239 partidos en los tres días de competición; participarán más de 1.400 deportistas y en total habrá unas 6.000 personas desplazadas. Todos los partidos serán retransmitidos por el streaming de la Federación Gallega de Balonmano.
