A praia de Ladeira en Baiona foi testigo esta fin de semana da loita polo Campionato Galego de Balonmán Praia. 63 equipos entre as categorías de alevín mixto e sénior tanto feminino como masculino, buscaban na localidade do Val Miñor coroarse como mellores equipos da nosa comunidade.
O venres comezaba a competición cos máis pequenos, deixando abraiada a toda a afección cos seus primeiros 360º e amosando un nivel altísimo. Na categoría alevín mixta conseguían o triunfo as rapazas do BM Cangas, un equipo integramente feminino que campionato tras campionato sempre estivo entre os 3 mellores.
En infantil feminino puidemos gozar dunha competición moi igualada durante todas as probas. O Veba Water quedaba campión tras impoñerse ao BM Cremosso Team B e ás Espartanas SAR na final, sabendo que calquera deles podría facerse co título.
Máis clara foi a vitoria dos infantís masculino, onde os de Veba os da jrada marcaron o ritmo durante todo o campionato. Os precedentes das anteriores probas facíaos favoritos na fase final, e os minis do club non defraudaron, acadando o primeiro posto.
O sábado os máis pequenos dábanlle o relevo as categorías superiores, dende cadetes a sénior. Ladeira viviu unha fin de semana cargada de emoción e bo balonmán praia.
Na categoría cadete, BMP Pescados e BMP PTV HandStrand conseguían o campionato feminino e masculino respectivamente. As de Pescados chegaban a final con soltura, máis nesta as Merengue Cremosso SAR non llo puxeron nada sinxelo e na morte súbita dos shoot outs conseguían a vitoria. Pola outra banda os cadetes do PTV HandStrand guíaban na senda da victoria ás categorías superiores do club, conseguindo o primeiro título da fase final e amosando un nivel espectacular dende a primeira proba de Baiona.
En xuvenís repetíase o resultado dos cadetes: BMP Pescados en feminino e PTV Handstrand en masculino proclamábanse campións galegos. As de Pescados gañaron a final fronte a seu gran rival da tempada, o Molubesa Area Bueu, e os de Pontevedra tamén se facían co título tendo en diante a un habitual nas finais, como o Veba Pico.
Para finalizar a categoría sénior vivía unha das tempadas máis igualadas tanto en feminino como masculino. Ambas fináis poderían considerarse como «o noso derbi» do balonmán praia. En feminino, El Bunga e Veba Waterfuckers buscaban un ano máis ser campioas galegas. A balanza inclinábase por segundo ano consecutivo a favor do Veba, quen fai ver que non hai temporada que baixe os brazos.
O campionato sénior masculino decidíase entre dous clásicos da area galega. PTV Handstrand e BMP Painkillers xogábanse o título á morte súbita despois de dúas partes moi desiguais e uns shoot outs que deixaban empatado o encontro. Un ano máis, ao igual que o Veba, PTV Handstrand segue no máis alto de balonmán praia galego e acadaba así o tricampeonato en categoría masculina cos seus cadetes e xuvenís.
