Foi no partido Calvo Xiria-Magope Seis do Nadal da pasada fin de semana. A parella arbitral formada por Pablo Torreiro e Marcos Pérez saltaron á pista co prototipo de máscara deportiva que acaba de presentar a Federación Galega de Balonmán e un chifre electrónico. Foi unha gran experiencia para os nosos colexiados, que nos aseguran que estiveron cómodos e que, por suposto, repetirán esta mesma fin de semana.
Falamos con Marcos Pérez e Pablo Torreiro para coñecer as súas impresións e o certo é que estaban moi contentos: “A experiencia foi moi boa. Coa máscara estivemos moi cómodos y co chifre tamén, aínda que “o xesto-forma é diferente e tamén, segundo a onde apuntes, se escoita máis ou menos, pero isto é cuestión de probar, nada máis”, afirmou Marcos. E parecen decididos a insistir, xa que esta fin de semana, que arbitran en Lavadores, pensan volver a utilizar tanto a máscara como o chifre electrónico: “Agora mesmo non me imaxino saltar a unha pista sen máscara e chifre electrónico. A proba do sábado en Carballo foi moi satisfactoria, e será a nosa nova «normalidade». Esperemos que por pouco tempo, porque significaría que termina este pesadelo”, destacou Torreiro.
Coa máscara -que era un prototipo da que presentou esta semana a Federación Galega de Balonmán para as competicións oficiais en Galicia- non tiveron problema algún: “Tanto Pablo coma min somos técnicos deportivos polo que estamos acostumados a usala mentres traballamos, pero a verdade é que esta é moi cómoda. Das mellores que probei”, sinalou Marcos. Neste mesmo sentido expresouse Pablo Torreiro, que so ve un problema, e non é coa máscara: “O principal hándicap é a comunicación: A miúdo realizamos indicacións de prevención ou aviso a xogadores con xestos faciais, que agora non existen. Á marxe do anterior, a máscara é moi cómoda: adáptase perfectamente á cara e as subxeccións, detrás da cabeza, son óptimas. En canto á capacidade respiratoria, conseguimos dar un nivel de esixencia física nese partido sen problemas, a pesar dos continuos contraataques”.
Con respecto ao chifre electrónico, Pablo, aínda que recoñecía que ao principio a sensación era un pouco estraña, estaba encantado: “Xenial. A nivel persoal incluso mellor que o anterior: Non o fas soar ao lado dos nosos oídos”. O único problema: “Igual teremos que buscar un cun son un pouco mais elevado para aqueles encontros nos que o barullo do público sube en decibelios”. O chifre que utilizaron ten tres niveis de son.
E como xurdiu todo? No stage arbitral celebrado en setembro, o presidente da Federación Galega de Balonmán, Bruno López, explicou ao colectivo arbitral galego como sería a volta as canchas e dende ese momento, esta parella ofreceuse para probar. E cando esa semana viron que lles tocaba arbitrar ao Xiria, que está a xogar con máscaras, a decisión foi clara, segundo nos conta Pablo: “Por deferencia a eles e a situación na que nos atopamos, decidimos poñernos mans a obra”.
Marcos rematou cunha frase que di que repiten a miúdo: “Sempre pensamos que hai dous tipos de persoas: As que se queixan polas cousas que suceden e as que tentan adaptarse e aprender. E nós somos da segunda”. Pois aprendendo estamos!
