O combinado galego infantil masculino, tras facer un campionato excepcional, acadou a medalla de prata nunha final apaixonante ante Andalucía que se decidiu na morte súbita nos shoot-out. Ademais, o combinado cadete feminino logrou a medalla de bronce para pechar a súa gran actuación.
Moi boa xornada final para o balonmán galego. A xornada comezou coa semifinal infantil masculina, na que Galicia se enfrontaba a Navarra. Foi un partido moi bonito e igualado. Na primeira parte Galicia dominou de forma clara, pero na segunda Navarra comezou moi forte e logrou poñerse por diante no marcador. Pero Galicia, cunha gran defensa volteou o marcador para gañar o segundo e evitar os shoot-out. Marcos Varela e Xoel Lago en defensa, como no resto do campionato, fixeron un traballo impresionante. Así lograron meterse na final cun 2-0 e sen perder partido algún.
E pouco despois, a xornada seguía mellorando. A selección cadete feminina loitaba polo bronce contra Canarias e as nosas minigalaicas volveron a amosar a súa garra, lideradas por Adriana Rial. Foi un choque moi igualado, no que as nosas venceron os dous parciais pola mínima. Hai que destacar o gran traballo da peto canaria, que puxo as cousas moi difíciles ás galegas, pero o gran traballo en equipo de Galicia foi a clave para acadar ese bronce máis que merecido.
E continuou a xornada coa final infantil masculina entre Galicia y Andalucía, a gran favorita e triunfadora deste CESA. Sen dúbida Galicia fixo un partido espectacular a pesar da derrota. O primeiro parcial estivo tremendamente igualado, aínda que ao final se inclinou a favor dos andaluces. No segundo, dominio galego dende o inicio, que só se igualou un pouco no tramo final, aínda que Galicia xogou con cabeza e certificou o triunfo e foi necesario ir aos shoot-out para decidir o campión de España. Novamente, igualdade máximo e novo empate co que houbo que ir á morte súbita na que se impuxo a selección andaluza. Enorme o equipo dirixido por Adrián Menduíña, que fixo un partido espectacular de principio a fin e o ouro podería caer a un lado ou outro.
