Rematou a tempada coa disputa da fase final do Campionato de España Infantil Feminino en Vigo, e a cuarta posición do Carballal, anfitrión e protagonista durante os cinco días de competición. A pesar de que ao final se escapou a medalla, impresionante o traballo das rapazas do club vigués.
A pasada semana a cidade de Vigo foi testigo da celebración do último campionato de España da tempada. O pavillón das Travesas acollía aos 8 mellores clubs da categoría infantil feminina, que loitaban por convertese en campioas de España.
As nenas da AD Carballal, como anfitrioas, estiveron encadradas no grupo II co Maravillas Benalmádena, San Serván e o HBC’74, e tan só lle fixeron falta dúas vitorias para plantarse nas semifinais. Venceron o mércores ao San Serván (23:17) e ao día seguinte ao HBC’74 (26:18).
O sábado chegaba a semifinal, o choque decisivo, e no que as galegas se enfrontaban ao Córdoba. Foi un encontro marcado polas boas defensas e poucos goles, que deixaba a AD Carballal ás portas da segunda final da tempada para o club por tan só dous tantos de diferenza e moita emoción nos instantes finais.
Non foi fácil repoñerse da derrota, e o duro partido da xornada anterior pasaba factura na loita pola medalla de bronce. O Maravillas Benalmádena, co que xa caíra derrotado na fase de grupos, volveu ser o seu verdugo, esta vez cun metal de por medio. Na primeira metade, as locais ían por diante, pero o Maravillas logrou un parcial de 6-1, que lle permitiu darlle a volta ao marcador, e as galegas xa non tiveron forzas para volver remontar.
Pese a derrota, as rapazas do Carballal fixeron unha tempada e un campionato boísimo, donde nos deixan ver que hai un gran futuro no balonmán galego.
Desde a FGBM queremos darlle a noraboa ao BM Uharte polo merecido ouro e ao Córdoba de Balonmán e ao Maravillas Benalmádena pola prata e o bronce respectivamente. e de forma moi especial ás nosas rapazas do Carballal, pola magnífica tempada, rematada con esta fase final en Vigo.
